Strength of Man, Weakness of Man

Four sides:

  1. The strength of man, and its contributions
  2. The strength of man, and its danger
  3. The weakness of man, and its contributions
  4. The weakness of man, and its danger
  1. Men can be strong. The can provide and protect, love and create beauty. Men can stand on their own and protect those to their left and their right. Men can defend what they love.
  2. Men can be cruel. They can divide and destroy, hate and corrupt. Men can be tyrannical and look out for none but themselves. Men can destroy what they love.
  3. Men can be yielding. The can cherish and nourish, show mercy and pity. Men can offer their hearts to their loved ones, reach for the higher, and be connected by empathy to all. They can understand the strength of a woman.
  4. Men can be cowardly. They can neglect and betray themselves. They can whisper venom-lies and flee. They can shirk responsibility and surrender to pleasure. They can fade through uselessness.

Two goods and two bads always.

Why must we consider aspects of man in this way? Why not?

Why not give a it perspective, complexity.

We aim for one and three. How else do we make good husbands and fathers?

Be a man. Beware a man.
