Arrogance is the enemy of victory. – Chinese Proverb

We all know this to be true. When we are arrogant, we speak and act incorrectly. We choose the pleasure of anger and pride in the moment and regret our words and actions later.

When we are ignorant, we are often arrogant. A bit of wisdom and knowledge can help us avoid arrogance. This is a benefit of Keeping the Old Warm. We use wisdom and knowledge from the past to speak and act better today. We avoid being defeated by our own arrogance and pride.

If we wish to be victorious, in our speech and actions, we must avoid pride and arrogance. We must keep our self-respect and confidence, but when we venture out of our element, we must have humility, be willing to listen and learn, and retain our poise and grace in an inferior position.

Embracing arrogance ensures defeat.

Shunning arrogance invites victory.
