There are countless quotes and teachings on gratitude that extend back thousands of years farther.
From ancient times until the present day, human beings have found shelter in gratitude as they deal with hardship, disappointment, failure, envy, discontent, restlessness, anger, frustration and more. Is it too much to say that gratitude always works? Yet, it always improves the present feeling of negativity.
In any situation where things do not work out as we’d like them to, negative feelings come along and we begin to suffer. Now, we can choose to suffer again by taking pleasure in holding on to these negative feelings and anger, or we can choose gratitude and remember that we have so much to appreciate. Here, after embracing gratitude, our problem that seemed to be as large as a mountain a moment before, becomes as little as a stone.
Gratitude in our attitudes brings richness to life and a cloak that puts smiles on our faces and shields us along the path of destiny.
