“With this image as a model, the sage learns how best to develop himself so that his influence may endure. He must make himself strong in every way, by consciously casting out all that is inferior and degrading. Thus he attains that tirelessness which depends upon consciously limiting the fields of his activity.” – The I Ching or Book of Changes
Our dreams. Ideals. Destinations….our image….must rule us. We are guided by it and learn to develop ourselves. One day, our actions may amount to a fond memory. Will earn a true pride of life.
Yet we must be strong. Disciplined. Knowing the meaning of sacrifice, and commitment. We must cast off the inferior and degrading. Before destiny, such is beneath. Dead weight. A lower consciousness.
When the inferior and degrading are released, forgotten, and we temper our frantic desiring, we gain spiritual energy – the most precious of all.
To rise with the energy and emit it, to live without intentional sin (only forgivable sin), with purpose, and leave a worthy impact on the world…..we limit our activity, to the image as a model.
