“It is easy to hate and it is difficult to love. This is how the whole scheme of things works. All good things are difficult to achieve; and bad things are very easy to get.” – Confucius
To achieve the best in life, prepare to work hard, struggle, and be patient.
To achieve things quickly, prepare for such things to bring temporary joy.
Is it too much to say we all learn this lesson sooner or later?
We understand this truth, but we choose to avoid the action that is implicit in accepting it: If we accept the best things are always difficult to achieve, we must wake up each day and both strive for the best, and avoid the temptation of the worst.
Everyday we must try to remember this truth, and even better, accept it.
Do we choose difficulty? Or expediency?
Do we want the best? Or the pleasing?
Choose difficulty. Strive for the best.
